It's the New Year & we're all still fresh on the resolution train.
You may or may not have seen this little challenge posted ALL OVER FaceBook last week.
I instantly fell for the challenge. It looked simple, easy to follow along & absolutely doable for my family.
Buuuuuut, I could already see how the challenge would end up. I'd slam my dollar in a jar week after week & high-5 myself for being so determined. Then I'd get to the end of the year & say, "$40 a week???? Are you crazy? I've got birthdays and Christmas and Holiday gatherings! Challenge over! Peace!"
Rather than get caught up I decided to put a twist on the challenge. I am approaching the challenge from both ends. Week one I put my $1 away, and week two I put $52 away. (Alternating week by week) So, by the end of the year I will meet in the middle & be putting somewhere in the neighborhood of $20ish dollars a week vs $50. Now see, this is how I talk myself into things. I make them work in my mind & as silly as it seems, it works for me.
This is my money year!!!
It's all about cutting out the little things & saving for a rainy day. One less latte (not like I've ever had a latte in my life) = a little more dinero in the bank for me! The best part...my whole family is on board. Even Miss Alyss has a little savings jar going on. Go team go!
Cheers!!

I've been seeing this floating around. I really need to do it too.
That's awesome! I saw that challenge. I'm taking my own approach where all #'s 1-52 are put in a bag & each week I pull out how much I pay. :) I knew $52 at the end of the year was not going to happen for me either.
